Evidence of three different research subjects

Since I was given the assignment to create a Kids TV Show intro, I decided to do some research on existing intros and try to implement some of the key conventions into my own intro;

The Rhyme Rockets: In the beginning of the sequence, it shows an animation of a rocket with letters inside which in my opinion links well with the title of the show as different rhymes require different letters and words. It then goes on to introduces the characters of the show through the use of music and rhymes and this is very useful as it gives the audience the chance to get to know the characters briefly with the use of rhymes once again relating to the theme of the show.

Tommy Zoom: In this intro, it begins with the dog introducing itself and going through the family home introducing the rest of the characters. One again this is effective as it allows the audience to have a brief inside to the characters they may encounter in the show and what to expect from them. It then shows Tommy Zoom more often and give the audience some of the highlight moments of his character. It then ends with the title zooming into the screen, which in my opinion also relates to the character and name he is recognised for.

Shawn the Sheep: In the beginning of this intro, we can see that the setting is based in a farm with the three main characters being Shawn (the sheep), Bitzer (the sheepdog) and the farmer. In my opinion I think they have done this in such a way so the audience are able to identify themselves with the main characters in the show. It later on shows a bit more of the personality of the characters and this is important for the viewer as it makes them interested in finding out more about the characters.
